Find a photographer that offers a variety of packages, including a basic package that includes the highlights of the ceremony, portraits of the wedding party and family and a few key reception moments.

Find several special guests that would be happy to contribute their services as designated photographers or videographers. When having friends and family contribute in this way, it is beneficial to have more than one recording the event, just in case there is an equipment malfunction, blurry focus, etc.

Many of the special moments at the reception can be preserved by having your guests take photos using disposable wedding cameras. Be sure to include a note or instructions so guests know to take many photos and where to leave the cameras when they are done.
